How To Find Dance Instruction Videos

You loved the moves in Dirty Dancing, you want to have Madonna's body, and your mother told you that you danced long before you could walk. For dancers, dancing is an art form of expression. It allows you to be yourself and express whatever feelings you may have, whether it is happiness, sadness, or angst. And whether at parties or social events, and maybe especially in your own room, people of all ages definitely love to dance. And being an art form, there are different styles of dancing that you may have seen. In addition to the recently popular belly dancing, you have Latin dances like salsa that are famous for their flair and sensuality; modern and hip-hop styles of dance are very energetic, fast and youthful; street dancing and break dancing are freestyle types of dance for more advanced dancers; and ballroom dances are more famous and appeal to all age ranges. Other classical forms of dance include tango, tap, folk and ballet.

There are schools offering private dance lessons for you to learn the dance style of your choice. These schools offer flexible schedules, and the dance tutors are professional dancers as well, with a range of experience in different dance styles. Further, there are accreditations and certifications that would allow you to teach dances and compete in international competitions as well.

You might also want to consider buying dance instruction videos. Professional dancers produce these, and depending on your purpose, you can find different types of videos. You can specialize in a specific dance, or you can use these dances as a form of aerobic exercise.

1. Go to video stores. They distribute DVD copies of dance instruction videos by some of the more famous dancers and aerobic exercise personalities. If you cannot find them, ask the shop assistant.
2. Go online. Check eBay to find sellers offering these products. Don't be disheartened when you find a seller offering DVDs that are not specifically about dances. Try asking, and most times, they also have these types of videos. They can also help you look for them.
3. Still online? Go to specialized sites. Websites dedicated to dance also offer products such as dance wear, dance shoes, and dance videos. Forums or blogs about dancing can also offer assistance. If they don't sell products online, they might be able to direct you where you can purchase them.
4. Go to dance studios. They also sometimes distribute dance instruction videos, especially if the instructor in the video is one of their dance instructors.

Dancing is a personalized activity, and it can give you long-term health benefits as well. It helps in making your movement smooth, in strengthening your muscles, and making your blood and oxygen flow better. And to top it all, you will feel less stressed.

But remember that just like with any other physical activity, your safety should be the topmost priority. Wear proper dancing attire including shoes. Now, put on your favorite music and dance your way to a stress-free and healthy lifestyle.
