Can I become a professional ballroom dancer at 30? If so, how?

I know it’s been asked a million times before, but my age is the defining factor. I am very young for my age though, and have been involved in dance since I was 4 years old. I took ballet for 15 years, tap for 17+ years, and danced in show choir throughout high school and college. I still maintain my dancer’s physique, although I need to gain back all my strength.

I have recently started taking ballroom dance private lessons, and I am progressing very quickly. I want to compete and would like to become professional, but it seems like I might be too old for that.

Does anyone know of any schools or training centers that offer intensive ballroom instruction? I know it’s expensive, but just wondering if I even have a chance or if I should just try to become an instructor.
